Rabbits are very social animals but they are also shy. Wondering how to tame one? Well let’s dive in!

First off it will be easier for you if your rabbit is a young rabbit which means at least 4 or 5 weeks old. For bonding with your rabbit aka taming them, you will need some rabbit treats. I recommend homemade rabbit treats. You can watch YouTube videos of how to make them. Getting your rabbit to eat out of your hand Is a good sign that your rabbit is getting more used to you being around and more comfortable with you. Avoid picking them up because rabbits hate being picked up but some rabbits enjoy it and that’s totally fine. Let your rabbit have time to check you out, go in a rabbit proof room and lay down flat on your back, it might take a little while but your rabbit might come to you and check you out a bit! (By sniffing you getting near you etc) they get curious about us sometimes and feel like we might be safe to go close to. Let them make the move, which means let them on their timing go to you, for instance, put them in a pet taxi, open the door to the pet taxi, and let them come out on their own.
I hope I helped anyone who was needing to know how to tame a rabbit these animals can be challenging but they are very fun creatures.
